(for N.C. and Virginia)
Both manufactured and modular homes are set up to specific state, county and local set up codes. Before your new manufactured or modular home can be set up, a building permit must be obtained from your local county planning department. Moncure Homes will apply for, and obtain the proper permits on your behalf. Fees vary from county to county, so be sure to ask your sales representative what the fee will be in the county you will be setting up in.
Permits must also be obtained from your local county environmental health department for new septic tank installations and existing systems, as well as repair of failing systems. Well permits must also be obtained for new well installations. If an existing well is to be used, it must pass a quality water sampling inspection, to insure there is no bacteria or other harmful contaminants.
Moncure Homes will make application for your septic and well permits on your behalf. Again, fees may vary from county to county, so ask your sales representative what your cost will be for each permit.
